It feels like Runescape is not supposed to hold over 1,000 players prior to stuttering and eventually effing expiring at 1,500. This is an extremely controversial, incredibly unpopular and potentially stupid/moronic/idiotic thought to have, but maybe, Runescape is at a fantastic place - Best OSRS Gold site and with as much players as we've (as opposed to OSRS) is actually a fantastic thing for our sport. RS3 isn't supposed to be busy, which thought is probably the reason we don't get better servers, since we are in a good place (the players the better).

I don't believe the problem is the amount of players on earth, it's the number of players in the world in precisely the world chunk. We used to have that exact same problem with the GE way back in the day. You can tell when there's more people irrespective of where you are. World 99 awhile ago had a portables group move into it. Earlier it would have approximately 100-300 individuals and afterwards it would have 600+. There was a delay even only moving anyplace on the world. From what I have seen, lots of players in 1 world chunk makes the server lag. Example would do anything on earth 77 feels laggy even if your. Same with high soda dxpw worlds.

Yeah if you consider it, light a fire in an area has the host tell you concerning the flame. Lighting the fire in an area with 1000 people has to send that passion to all 1000 in the exact same moment. I don't understand how much optimization they perform to non-technical players but it's possible that every single participant in a pile of gamers has data about their location/actions constantly being delivered to every other player in the area even if it's not visible on your client.

It works a bit different. Your customer is asking the host the state of Runescape in your town. Hence the server checks which players are on your town, what they're wearing, and what they're doing (and a whole lot more). In massive regions the host has a large task to do, since he has to fetch player information of 1000 individuals. That is also why you will notice lag too, the host is so busy with handling the crowded areas, he can get your petition sorted.

RS2 had much more players (even much more robots ) compared to RS3 and we'd seen 250k+ players on the internet often in summer and 1000+ players on each world was no problem back then in 2011. Technologies have improved tremendously today a decade later, it is just stupid/moronic/idiotic believed that RS3 servers have been in worse shape than the era. RS3 can manage a lot more players than now RuneScape gold, particularly players will certainly mean more servers will be added. The stability problems of the servers now is a few players are currently doing for. RS3 just need better load balancing and exception handling of certain activities. It is not a huge issue.
